Davina Shorter is an African American serial entrepreneur, author, and content creator in the tech industry.

Davina Shorter has ten years of experience in the tech field and started as a Product and Career Development Training Facilitator for a technology company while pursuing her career journey as a Project Manager. She specialized in Digital Project Management, Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, & DE&I Initiatives.

While pursuing her PMP (Project Management Certification), she started creating content to document her journey and birthed one of the largest content creator pages for Project Managers called @thesocialprojectmanager through this page, she shared her journey, expertise, and tips which was well received by professionals trying to get into Industry. In an attempt to help others get into Project Management using her best practices, she wrote a book The Ultimate Guide to Getting into Project Management.

Davina Shorter is also the author of Legend Learns Politics, a children’s book that breaks down the political roles and focuses on advancing and providing children with knowledge at an early age about concepts and life skills.

She wanted to reach people on a larger platform and create a space that young professionals looking to transition into Project Management can have a community where they can learn, grow, and develop their skillset with likeminded people. She then Founded YPPM (Young Professional Project Managers), the world’s leading Project Management association for Young Professional that is dedicated to connecting, advancing, and empowering project managers.

Davina Shorter is also the Founder and CEO of Social Project LLC, a Digital Services and Social Media Management Agency where the mission is to advance digital equality by developing talent that can service underrepresented small business owners that are POC People of Color or women owned businesses. The company is dedicated to developing future digital innovators to allow us to help more business owners while providing digital literacy to students and creating a new generation of diverse entrepreneurs in the digital and tech space.

Born and raised in the Suburbs of Chicago, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Business and pursing an MBA with a concentration in Marketing. She now speaks around the world educating small business owners on the importance of social media marketing, and to students and professionals helping them transition into Tech and Project Management.
